An especially large bouquet to Dr. Cathy McDougall of Qualicum Animal Hospital. When we arrived at her Clinic at the end of a working day on a Friday with a critically ill dog — Olive, emergency care in Nanaimo was assessed and determined to be beyond our means. Dr. McDougall delayed and interrupted her vacation to do emergency surgery.
She made herself available to us by phone throughout Olive’s recovery at our home and called every day to check on our progress. Quality of care is one thing. Her dedication to her profession is truly commendable.
