Canada Post ageism?

It’s my understanding Canada Post has begun a cost-cutting program due to annual financial deficits.

It’s my understanding Canada Post has begun a cost-cutting program because of regular mail reduction and the resulting annual financial deficits.

As a result, Qualicum Beach mail boxes have been removed from the corner of Memorial Drive and E Fern Road. This is unfortunate because the location is close to several senior residences. Many seniors, who are not fully mobile, now must find a way to the post office through traffic and inclement weather such as ice-covered sidewalks and crosswalks.

Also, when seniors and other disabled people reach the post office they must maneuver their motor skooters, wheelchairs or walkers up the ramp, mail their letters and somehow turn around and carefully descend the ramp.

Obviously Canada Post didn’t do enough research. Or is it an ageism attitude?
