Encourage active kids

Have you noticed lots of kids playing more than usual around our district? I sure hope so.

Have you noticed lots of kids playing more than usual around our district?  I sure hope so.  The Be Active Every Day campaign has 367 students — Nanoose to Qualicum, Errington to Lasqeti — studying and practicing healthy lifestyles. Why? Because healthy now is more likely to mean healthy years down the track. In fact, we all know that being active is a reasonably appropriate response to just about anything that ails thee. So, good on you, kids, for taking on the challenge.

To those of us over 10 years old, please notice and encourage the children as they run, hop, skip and jump. We’ll make it a habit yet!
