I am not concerned about the amount we are paying or will pay in future. I am not pleased that this is a shift of tax from business to ordinary worker, but even that concerns me less than the transfer of sales tax decision making from Victoria to Ottawa.

It is fashionable to speak of local food and local shopping. What about local governance? I have heard that it’s a done deal. It is not. That is why we are having a referendum.
