Oh dear, why do we have to be so cruel? To degrade such lovely kind souls as Sandra Billy and her daughter Bobi Pebernat (The News, June 17) what a shame.
I live in an older house, maybe half the age of the one they were in, but as I write, I am not renovating, I am having repairs done.
If I were to rent this house, is it not my responsibility as an owner to be responsible for any repairs done? I have seen this property and it is worth a fortune without the house. I also believe that as an owner, I do have the right, with proper notification, to inspect the house every two months, if I so desire.
Timber houses do deteriorate, even castles need repair. I am the poor relation of a family of Masons — ask me anytime.
Don’t get me started on the horses. I have seen them in the fields, they no longer have fear and despair in their eyes, they have softness and contentment.
And when they sprout wings and go to a better place, they will look down and remember those two lovely ladies. Amen.
