I feel a need to voice my complaint about the pro HST Tom Fletcher rant column in The News, July 26, 2011.
I am not surprised that Mr. Fletchers’ opinion would support the tax given the government cronies who he likely spends most of his time with but, he should not be voicing his thoughts in a forum that he is being paid to produce.
Frankly if Mr. Fletcher wishes to make his personal opinion public, he should be required to pay for that privilege by buying advertising space, not by using his paid publishing position.
I’m sure that the Liberals wouldn’t mind paying for his pro HST rhetoric — they certainly aren’t adverse to spending the people’s hard earned money to try and push through their greedy agenda.
