Effluent not considered pollution?
Congratulations to the Regional District of Nanaimo for adopting a resolution on marine litter and for being “ahead of everybody in the country.” Good for you and for all of us.
Surprisingly, the same RDN that is “ahead of everybody in the country” on marine litter proposes to pump a deadly cocktail of chemicals and toxins in the form of treated effluent into the ocean near Bowser.
How is that not pollution and not contrary to their own resolution? What’s wrong with this picture?
