LETTER: Need the information to judge the results

I read the letter from the Oceanside Task Force on Homelessness with interest. (Re: Moving forward after 222 Corfield rezoning decision , July 26)

I read the letter from the Oceanside Task Force on Homelessness with interest. (Re: Moving forward after 222 Corfield rezoning decision, July 26)

It seems like the battle is over, and if the desired result was to “virtue signal” our compassion perhaps it is. If the goal, however, is reduced homelessness and rehabilitation of the disadvantaged, I’d suggest the jury is still out.

How does the task force plan to measure and report on results? Or do they have a plan?

I’d be happy to have my cynicism be proved wrong and for homelessness to be down and for a majority of the 50 fortunates to have become productive members of society.

Hopefully we will get the information we need to judge the results.
