NHL dispute an opportunity for Canadian hockey

Why not start a Canadian league, without all those U.S. teams?

This is a perfect time to consolidate Canadian hockey by forming an all-Canadian league, and let the U.S. teams go!

With the lockout possibly illegal in Alberta and Quebec, why not form a new league without American-based teams? We could add teams in Saskatchewan, Quebec City and the Maritimes, reclaim the Stanley Cup as the Canadian icon it truly is, and end the charade of trying to break into the American Football-Basketball-Baseball sports log jam.
