I asked the gardener for our complex, who was spraying weeds wearing a mask, what he was using. He replied: “Roundup.”
I was amazed as I thought that this product had been banned from use in this area. I was informed that though Qualicum Beach has a ban on the use of this pesticide, Parksville does not.
Why are they still using this harmful pesticide? I think many people could be unaware of this practice in Parksville.
Would the mayor or city councillors care to comment on this? I fear for humans, birds and animals, as we all share this planet.
