I am ashamed to say I live in Eaglecrest.
We had the option of picking up our copy of The News at our mailbox after it was decided to install the red newspaper boxes. It seems as though some people loved to complain about the paper delivery and now don’t like the colour red.
The town has gotten involved due to the boxes being on town property, no surprise there either.
I have been informed that the red boxes are being used from Nanoose to Bowser with no problems.
We have very few children in Eaglecrest who could deliver papers so the boxes seemed to be a reasonable solution. I hope a reasonable solution can be found, reasonable is the key word here.
