I fully support David Black’s innovative proposal described in his column published in The NEWS on Nov. 10 (‘Green refineries are a better alternative than tankers’).
He makes a compelling argument for the project, which would create/keep jobs in Canada, obviate the need to ship diluted bitumen from our seaports and protect our coastal ecosystems. Furthermore, it would probably reduce greenhouse gases by using modern processes.
I sincerely hope that Kitimat Clean will be successful in building and operating a first class, Canadian, green oil refinery for the sake of Canadian workers, future generations and the environment.
