Thank-you to the staff of The NEWS for choosing to help promote our lyme disease awareness event.
We had a great turn out (near capacity) at the PCCC on Saturday and when polled most wrote that they heard of the event through your paper. Thank-you for that.
It was also interesting to note that most of those in attendance were effected by lyme disease in one way or another. Considering that we are still being told that you cannot get lyme in B.C., the number was impressive.
We would also like to thank our sponsor, The Canadian Lyme Disease Foundation (canlyme.com), Island Naturals for the lovely gift basket plus the numerous volunteers that put in time and effort to make this event a success.
A special thank-you to our speakers Dawn, Nicky, Lana and David plus George who debuted a song at the event. Also a thank-you to Dave at 88.5 The Beach and Pam at 101.7 CHLY radio, plus Lisa at the Pharmasave, who all helped to make this event worth attending.
