Walk in their shoes

Teachers don't have it as easy as one writer suggested

I think Mr. Clark (The News, March 13) needs to walk in a teacher’s shoes for a month to see what goes on in today’s classroom.  Teachers seem to be social workers first and teachers second.

Classes are so diverse in the needs of each individual there is not enough hours in the day to plan several different lessons everyday to suit all the different academic and social levels within a classroom.

Our dedicated teachers need to be treated with the respect  they deserve for doing their best in a very difficult environment.
