We were never asked about train service

I agree totally with this letter writer on the advantages of many groups of people in having available passenger train travel.

Many government levels seem to be talking about ‘green’ energy and public transportation. Let’s not give up on our opportunity to become part of this future — let’s revitalize train travel on Vancouver Island.

I am sorry that our Regional District of Nanaimo decided not to support providing public transportation for its citizens. I think that if they had thought to ask people what they wanted regarding train travel, that they might have changed their minds and enthusiastically endorsed train travel. I was never asked.
