From Kathy Lennox comes word “at last a sunny day,” for the field of 32 entered in the Ladies 18 Hole group at Qualicum Beach Memorial Golf Club recently.
Club captain Sandi Reed and member Marg LeLievre both posted birdies on the first Pin Pay competition of the season.
According to Lennox, Reed was first with a birdie on the 17th hole and LeLievre was “chirping with glee” as her approach shot hit the pin and dropped for a chip in/birdie on the fifth hole, the famous Gully Hole.
Jill Green was the winner on the day with a net 69.
