Connor LaCouvee and his Boston University Terriers headed into the Christmas break on a high note, dispatching of the No. 2-ranked Quinnipiac Bobcats in their final game before the four-week break.

Though LaCouvee was on the bench for the final game of 2015 for the Terriers, his team handed the Bobcats their first loss of their season, beating them 4-1 in front of the Bobcats’ home-crowd.

At the end of November, LaCouvee and his Terriers were in action at the famed Madison Square Garden in New York City, playing for the Kelly-Harkness Cup.

“It was unreal, an electric atmosphere for sure,” LaCouvee said. “I wouldn’t say it was intimidating, just exciting. You can feel the crowd going. It was just awesome; I loved it.” In the final game, LaCouvee came up huge for Boston U in front of 17,000-plus fans inside MSG, stopping Cornell’s Matt Buckles in the shootout to seal the win. “I was really happy. I didn’t feel I played that well throughout the game. I felt all three goals were stoppable shots.”

LaCouvee has seen action in 13 games this season so far for BU, starting 12. He sports a 2.71 goals against average heading in to the Christmas break to go along with his record of 6 wins and 3 losses.
