Parksville Lawn Bowling Club’s annual 50 Shades of Pink tournament lived up to its name, and then some as 48 women bowlers took to the lawn last Wednesday in every shade of the colour.

The tournament is held in support of both local cancer patients and the Canadian Cancer Society, and an estimated $4,100 has been raised by the club for the cause through this tournament and other club activities, said Carol  Bucyk, club spokesperson.

Co-winners  of the Marnie Rose Trophy were Diane Cruickshank (skip), Faye St. Marie (third) and Carolyn Russell (lead) from the White Team, along with the winning  Red Team of Linda Kummer (skip), Hilary Lansdowne (third) and Lorraine Canning (lead).
