ORCA running clinic could help you get in shape

“Learn to Run” with peers at any athletic level, and be ready just in time for the ORCA Mother’s Day 10K.

Are you looking to get into shape as part of your new year’s resolution?

The Oceanside Running Club Association (ORCA) could have the answer you’re looking for.

Rod Bailey, an ORCA member, will be taking the lead on the club’s Learn to Run clinic that will begin on February 17.

The local club’s Learn to Run clinic will run every Wednesday evening through to May 4, which is just in time to take part in the ORCA Mother’s Day 10K run.

Whether you want to learn to run, get fit or get back into running after some time away, this clinic is structured to help any and all levels of athletic ability.

On top of that, people can join the Parksville Qualicum Beach region’s running community, which is “very friendly and encouraging” according to ORCA member Jill Davies.

“Rod is a very experienced, enthusiastic and supportive leader,” Davies said.

“He’s a great person and I can’t think of anyone better to be the lead for the Learn to Run clinic.”

Cost for the “Learn to Run” clinic is $35, which includes a year’s membership to the ORCA running club.
