Local Parksville squad looking to snap eight-game skid

Parksville’s Quality Foods Royals are at home Wednesday evening looking to get back in the win column against the top team in the league.

Down Island on Sunday for a BC Premier Baseball League (BCPBL) double header against the fourth place (14-7) Victoria Mariners, the Royals came up on the short end of 4-2, 4-1 finals and saw their regular season record slip to 6-15 for 11th in the high performance 13-team league.

The pinstripes return home to Inouye-Wallace Field Wednesday evening looking to snap an eight-game losing streak against the second place, 17-4, Nanaimo Pirates in a 6 p.m. start at Spring wood Park.
