Although the annual Brant Wildlife Festival has been cancelled due to COVID-19, the brant geese are now out in full force along the shores of Parksville and Qualicum Beach, stopping to rest and to feed.
At Parksville Community Beach, hundreds of the Pacific Black Brant have been flying in and have now become part of the seascape and are hard not to notice. People walking in the park can’t help but stop and be in awe of the geese scattered all over the area.
Even the eagles are out watching them fly in.
Some took the opportunity to snap some cool photos of the birds while others enjoy the moment while having a meal inside their cars.
