A variety of events in the PQB area have been postponed or cancelled due to ongoing COVID-19 concerns.

A Cappella Plus: Concert: Muusika, at the Beach Club Resort, Parksville on Saturday, April 25 has been cancelled.
Bard to Broadway: Mainstage season has been cancelled.
BC U18 Curling Championships: Provincial bonspiel at the Parksville Curling Club postponed and rescheduled to take place in September.
BC Premier Baseball League: Effective immediately, based on the recommendation from Baseball BC and Baseball Canada, the PBL (Premier, Junior and Bantam) has suspended play.
Bowser Legion: The Spring Fling event is cancelled.
Brant Wildlife Festival: 2020 festival has been cancelled.
Coombs Farmers’ Institute: 42nd Annual Farm Equipment and Livestock Auction, scheduled to be held on April 26, has been cancelled.
City of Parksville 75th Birthday Celebration — postponed until next year, June 19 2021.
Dashwood Fire Department: Head-shave event has been postponed to a later date.
Deep Bay: Guided Field Station Tours are cancelled.
District 69 Toastmasters: Effective immediately, all in-person meetings will be suspended. Updates as information is presented.
ECHO Players: Board of Directors has decided to defer its current season and close the Village Theatre to the public until May 17.
Fairwinds Golf Club: Golf course closed until further notice; taking proactive measures to mitigate transmission to COVID-19.
Ground Zero Acoustic Lounge: Heart Song for Humanity special benefit concert scheduled for March 22 has been postponed.
Mid Island Floral Art Club: April meeting is cancelled.
More seniors: The Parksville Seniors Activity and Drop In Centre will be closed temporarily.
North Island Wildlife Recovery Centre: Closed to the public.
Oceanside Health and Wellness Fair: Event previously scheduled at the PCC has been postponed.
Oceanside Hospice Society: Regular services and programs held at Valhalla (210 Crescent Road West, Qualicum Beach) have been suspended temporarily. Counselling support will be and is available by phone. Partners in Community Benefit Gala on April 25 have been cancelled.
Oceanside Minor Softball: Effective immediately, have suspended all OMSA activities until May 1.
Oceanside RCMP: All front counter services including but not limited to; Civilian Fingerprinting Services, Criminal Record or Police Information checks and found property will not be conducted until further notice.
Oceanside Stroke Recovery Society: OSRS will be closed until further notice.
Parksville council: All council meetings will be closed to attendance by the public. As usual, meetings will be webcast live and archived. Effective immediately and until further notice, City of Parksville offices will be closed to the public.
Parksville and District Chamber of Commerce: Business Achievement Awards ceremony has been postponed. Effective immediately and until further notice the Visitor Information Centre and Chamber offices closed. The Chamber staff will continue to operate to support business and Chamber members.
Parksville Qualicum Beach Tourism Association: Effective immediately and until further notice, PQB Tourism is closing its office.
Quality Foods Qualicum Beach Triathlon — Cancelled
Quality Foods Beach Day Celebration — scheduled to take place on Sunday, July 5th, 2020 has now been cancelled
Qualicum Beach Seniors’ Activity Centre — Temporarily closed.
Qualicum Beach Family History Society Annual General Meeting: Cancelled.
Runners: The Vancouver Island Runners’ Association has decided to cancel the remaining races in the 2020 Island Race Series.

VIU Elder College: Cancelled all classes in April. The Saturday Speaker event scheduled for Nanoose Place on April 18 has also been cancelled.
