TOSH arts centre in Qualicum Beach puts out artist call

Winter Members Show’s theme will be ‘Rural Decay’

The Old School House (TOSH) Arts Centre in Qualicum Beach is looking for submissions from its members.

The 2022 Winter Members Show’s theme will be ‘Rural Decay’, according to a news release by the arts centre, located at 122 Fern Rd W.

The exhibition will run Oct. 31 to Dec. 16 in the Volunteer Gallery and the Dorothy Francis Gallery.

TOSH is asking for submissions to include the artist’s name, a title, size, the year painted, selling price and a brief quote about how the work relates to the exhibition theme.

Submissions are due by Sept. 30 and chosen pieces will be notified by Oct. 7, according to TOSH.

They can be sent as jpeg files (300 DPI) to theoldschoolhouseartcentre@gmail.com.

Entry sizes should be limited to approximately 24 x 24 inches and with a hanging mechanism installed.

Submissions must be from current members. More information about the artist call can be found on TOSH’s website.
