The Arrowsmith Tennis Club wrapped up its tournament season with its club championships held at Springwood tennis courts last Saturday, Aug. 24.
The event was blessed with mild cool weather and it featured men’s singles, men’s, womens and mixed doubles featuring the club’s competitive members.
In the men’s singles, Adam Kivell dominated and scored a 6-0, 6-0 win against the defending champion John Hylton-Foster to take home the club single’s title.
In the men’s doubles, Loren Guenette and Bill Majercsik prevailed as they breezed past Patrick Plichon and Don Lefler 6-1, 6-0.
The women’s doubles final produce an exciting and intense three set battle for the title. In the end the pairing of Ada Sarsiat and Jill Trelawny outlasted Tanya Bruk and Kim Harris 6-2, 4-6, 6-1.
In the mixed doubles final Trelawny and Greg Bach retained their title defeated when they stopped Harris and Hylton-Foster 6-1 6-0.
