Lighthouse Country to be featured on TV

The Lighthouse Country will get some airtime on television this weekend.

The Lighthouse Country will get some airtime on television this weekend.

The region will be featured on Global TV’s Weekend News on its “Our Community” segment on Saturday, June 9.

The Lighthouse Country Business Association is excited about this, said director Carrie Powell-Davidson, as it will give District 69 region a chance to learn about what goes on in their community. It will also feature photos contributed by residents that depict the beauty and diversity of the region.

As well, the LCBA is planning to unveil its first LCBA information kiosk on June 21, at 11 a.m. The inaugural kiosk, the first of many according to the LBCA, will be located at Magnolia Court. There are already plans in the works for Deep Bay, Cone Zone and Horne Lake.

The kiosk will feature information about the Lighthouse Community which is comprised of Bowser, Deep Bay, Dashwood, Horne Lake, Spider Lake and Qualicum Bay. It will have information about attractrions, restaurants, places to stay, services as well as photos and maps.
