Regional District of Nanaimo hires new general manager for planning and development

The Regional District of Nanaimo has hired a new general manager for planning and development.

Lisa Grant will join the RDN senior leadership team on Feb. 22. She brings 15 years of experience in the public sector, including her most recent role as director of development services with the City of Port Coquitlam.

“On behalf of the Regional District of Nanaimo, I am excited to welcome Ms. Grant,” said Douglas Holmes, chief administrative officer. “She brings extensive experience to the planning and development portfolio, and we look forward to working with her. I would also like to thank the planning and development team for their support during this time of transition.”

Grant has a Master of Planning from Dalhousie University and has worked for both municipal and regional district governments in British Columbia.

“I am looking forward to bringing my skills and experience to the Regional District of Nanaimo and working with the planning and development team,” said Grant. “My family and I are eager to enjoy all the great benefits of Island life.”
