Underground utility work will force some Parksville traffic to alternating single lanes on Tuesday, Feb. 22.
A release by the engineering department for the City of Parksville indicated that the contractor for the Hirst and Memorial Avenue upgrade will be doing work on the Alberni Highway (Highway 4A) on Tuesday, from 7 a.m. until 5 p.m.

“Single-lane alternating traffic will be maintained by traffic control personnel,” read the release.
Emergency vehicles will still have access through the work area, however, motorists are advised to seek alternative routes to avoid delays.
