If you’re an avid golfer, would you like to find out how you would fare if you played in Augusta National Golf Club, the home of the Masters Tournament?

How about the Old Course at St. Andrew’s, the oldest golf course in the world and venue of The Open 2022 or Pebble Beach?

There’s an opportunity for golfers to play on one of these courses without having to fly out of the country. You can do it at Eaglecrest Golf Club.

In mid-October, Eaglecrest Golf Club will have two golf simulators that will feature 60 of the best golf courses around the world.

Eaglecrest Golf Club operations manager Steve Philips said they’re excited to have the simulators, which will provide fun challenges and also help improve your game.

“This will be a great addition to the club particularly during the winter months when its harder to play golf due to the elements,” said Philips.

The simulators has the ability to record your golf swing, directions and also the energy that you put in every shot. The data will indicate where your ball landed, the angle of your shot and your accuracy.

One of the club members who tried the simulator was Qualicum Beach Coun. Teunis Westbroek.

“I played the 16th hole on Augusta and after six tries in the pond, I finally hit the seven iron as hard as I can and got on the green close to the flag in one shot,” said Westbroek. “It’s like being there. You can choose from 60 world-famous courses.”

Philips said friends can compete against each other in any of the courses.

The rate to use the simulator is going to be $40 for the first hour and that includes up to four people. It’s $75 for two hours and $30 for each additional hour. Eaglecrest Golf Club active members will receive 20 per cent discount off the first two hours.
