The Quality Foods Oceanside Generals are looking to draw even.

Heading into Game 4 of their best-of-seven Vancouver Island Junior Hockey League series tonight (Tuesday) against the Comox Valley Glacier Kings, the Generals trail the series 2-1.

The Generals dropped Game 2 and 3, losing 6-4 on Feb. 25 in Comox and 7-4 at home on Saturday, Feb. 26.

In Game 2, the Glacier Kings scored four unanswered goals in the first two periods.

The Generals were able to cut the lead in half late in the second with Greyson Weme finding the back of the net twice.

But in the third, the Generals gave up two quick goals in the first two minutes which sealed their fate. Generals top scorer Carter Johnson had two goals and two assists in a losing cause.

On Saturday night, the Generals paid dearly for losing their composure as they gave up three powe- play goals. It was tied 2-2 in the first with Johnson and Brendan Carlson each netting a goal.

In the second the Generals went up 3-2 after, Jacob Thomas notched a power-play marker early in the frame. But the lead was shortlived when the Generals took two penalties that the Glacier Kings capitalized on to make it 3-2.

The Generals bounced back with a goal by Carlson to end the frame tied 3-3.

In the third, the Generals took another penalty less than two minutes into the period. That proved costly as the Glacier Kings scored to grab a 4-3 lead and added another past the midway mark.

Comox Valley put the game out of reach with an empty-net goal.

The Generals are back at home at Oceanside Place for Game 5 at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, March 2.
